ORLEN Unipetrol’s employee collection raises over CZK 0.5m to fulfil the dreams of seven non-profit organisations

30-06-2022

Employees of the refining and petrochemical ORLEN Unipetrol Group have, for the 11th time, made donations to seven non-profit organisations across the country as part of the annual employee fundraising, Fulfilled Wishes. Thanks to more than CZK 0.5 million raised, children from a children’s home can enjoy a summer recreation, immobile clients receive new aids, and disabled people get a chance to find a job. The ORLEN Unipetrol Group employees have donated more than CZK 3.6 million to the needy over the entire period of this project.

The 11th annual Fulfilled Wishes charity raised CZK 252,668 among the ORLEN Unipetrol Group employees. As in previous years, ORLEN Unipetrol again matched this sum. That means that CZK 505,336 will be donated to a good cause. The money will go to seven non-profit organisations in the six locations where the ORLEN Unipetrol Group operates.

“I want to thank all our employees for donating money to the Fulfilled Wishes charity. Thus, we can again support our partner civil society organisations with more than CZK 0.5 million and facilitate their operations amid these challenging times. Furthermore, I believe the donations will help improve the quality of their clients’ lives,” says Katarzyna Woś, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group and Chair of the Board of the ORLEN Unipetrol Foundation.

Each employee could choose the beneficiary organisation. Thus, they could select an area close to their hearts and make targeted donations. As more than half of all employees work in Chempark Litvínov, the clients of the Naděje Litvínov nursing home became the most frequent choice for the second consecutive time. “It’s nice to see that there are people with big hearts among us who do not forget about helping others. I really appreciate everyone choosing our nursing home for their donations and making the life of our seniors more pleasant,” reacted the home’s executive director, Petra Havlová.
