The ORLEN Unipetrol Group is ranked second in the TOP Employers 2024 ranking in the Energy, Gas and Petrochemical Industry category. The TOP Employers study helps students determine where to go for quality employment after the end of their studies by means of regularly published rankings. ORLEN Unipetrol Group received the award for the second time this year. At the beginning of the year, it was awarded the prestigious international TOP Employer certificate, which ranks it as the best employer internationally.

A total of 11,416 students at Czech universities and 4,118 secondary school students voted in the thirteenth annual study, which is prestigious and unique in the Czech market. The students complete study questions in an online questionnaire prepared in cooperation with sociologists. Each year, the survey questions are reviewed so the questionnaire reflects the latest trends in student and graduate employment as best as possible.
“Companies and prospective job applicants seek to align their mutual expectations. It is a continuous process. It’s not only about ‘how much I get in pay, how much the employer can give me as a starting wage’. Prospective job seekers across disciplines appreciate employers that offer security and stability, a friendly working environment, corporate social responsibility, team composition, and work-life balance,” explains Daniel Novák, director of the TOP Employers study.
Top positions in the rankings evaluating corporate HR policies are nothing new for the ORLEN Unipetrol Group. Last year, ORLEN Unipetrol was recognised as the Sodexo Employer of the Year, which is part of the annual Employers’ Club awards. The Group improved its position last year when it ranked first in the category of the top employer in the Ústí Region and also at the national level. Students also designated the ORLEN Unipetrol Group as the most attractive employer in the Ústí Region. The Group was also recognised in human resources in the previous years when it was one of the best European employers last year and one of the top three employers in Czechia in 2022.
